WANT TO TAKE A FORMAL CLASS?

Our club’s Paul Knepper Bridge Academy (named in honor of long-time bridge teacher Paul Knepper) offers two classes in spring, 2025 for people who want to learn bridge or improve their skills. Both are taught at the club (4618 E. State Blvd., Ste 1, Fort Wayne, IN 46815) by nationally certified bridge teachers. Plenty of free parking spaces are available for students.

LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE IN A DAY is a 1-day class for beginners and very rusty bridge players. Those who finish the class are invited to play in our club’s free easy games on the 2nd & 4th Mondays of each month, partners guaranteed. INTRODUCTION TO BRIDGE 101, offered for nine weeks, will be taught from May 1 to June 26, 2025, on Thursdays, 10AM to Noon. Covering the basics of bridge for those who have never played or never fully learned the game, it focuses on bidding while also introducing play of the hand and defense. Each two-hour class session includes readings, teaching, and guided bidding and play of pre-dealt bridge hands. The $50 fee for the class (except learners aged 12-20 attend free) includes textbooks and all other course materials. No need to register; just come and learn. If you would like more information, please contact Gary Chaney at 419-438-2175 or [email protected]

Bridge 102, to be offered for nine weeks in July, continues the teaching of those who have taken Bridge 101 as well as those who already play bridge but want to improve their game, with a special focus on play of the hand.

Bridge 103 will be offered in September. This nine-week class, FREE for students who have successfully completed Bridge 101 and 102, will help players continue to sharpen their skills, with a special focus on defense.
